Netflix has added more names to The Woman in Cabin 10 cast following the announcement earlier this year that Keira Knightley will be starring in the upcoming adaptation of Ruth Ware’s 2016 bestselling novel of the same name.
The Woman in Cabin 10 is directed by Simon Stone (The Dig). Stone co-wrote the script with Joe Shrapnel and Anna Waterhouse. The mystery thriller follows a travel journalist (played by Knightley) as she gets assigned to cover a story on a luxury cruise. However, her travel assignment quickly turns deadly after witnessing a crime that no one believes ever happened. She’ll do anything in her power to uncover the truth, even if it means risking her own life.
Joining Knightley in the upcoming movie are Guy Pearce (Memento), Hannah Waddingham (The Fall Guy), David Ajala (Star Trek: Discovery), Gitte Witt (The Sleepwalker), Art Malik (The Little Mermaid), Daniel Ings (The Gentlemen), David Morrissey (The Walking Dead), Christopher Rygh (The Head Hunter), Paul Kaye (Game of Thrones), Kaya Scodelario (The Gentlemen), Lisa Loven Kongsli (Force Majeure), and Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Surface).
“While on a luxury cruise for a travel assignment, a journalist witnesses a passenger tossed overboard late one night, only to be told that she must have dreamed it, as all passengers are accounted for. Despite not being believed by anyone onboard, she continues to look for answers, putting her own life in danger,” the synopsis for The Woman in Cabin 10 reads.
This wouldn’t be the first time Knightley will be portraying a journalist on a mission to unravel the truth, following 2023’s true crime film Boston Strangler. The actress is best known for her appearances in Pride & Prejudice, Atonement, A Dangerous Method, Begin Again, The Imitation Game, Official Secrets, and more.
No release date has been set yet for The Woman in Cabin 10.
