The movie was already projected to have a very healthy opening weekend of around $50 million, and the evidence from the previews suggests that will indeed be the case, with even higher numbers possible.
If it does reach those numbers, then it would instantly become the year’s highest opening for a horror movie in a very good year for the genre. Blumhouse stablemates M3GAN and The Exorcist: Believer only surpassed the $50 million mark combined. Meanwhile, Scream VI and The Nun 2 posted commendable opening weekend numbers of $44 million and $32 million, respectively.

During his first night on the job, he realizes the night shift at Freddy’s won’t be as dull as it seems because the animatronics come to life, and are not as warm and friendly as they’re supposed to be.
