Later this year, Emma Corrin will star in Nosferatu, the gothic horror film from Robert Eggers. While promoting Deadpool & Wolverine, Corrin showered Eggers with praise for his adaptation featuring the notorious vampire.
“[Eggers] is a total genius and a real artist,” Corrin told GamesRadar+ and Inside Total Film. “He puts together these incredible ensembles of actors, and then, no matter what part you’re playing, you just really feel like it’s a group effort, and it’s a beautiful thing to be a part of. You’ll love it. It’s brilliant.”
Before Nosferatu, Corrin will appear as the villainous Cassandra Nova in Deadpool & Wolverine, which stars Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson and Hugh Jackman as Logan. Deadpool & Wolverine premieres in theaters on July 26, 2024.
The official synopsis from Focus Features reads: “Robert Eggers’ Nosferatu is a gothic tale of obsession between a haunted young woman and the terrifying vampire infatuated with her, causing untold horror in its wake.”
Lily-Rose Depp stars as Ellen Hutter, the “haunted young woman,” and Bill Skarsgård as Count Orlok, the titular vampire. Corrin reportedly plays Anna Harding, the wife of Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s Friedrich Harding.
The remaining ensemble includes Nicholas Hoult as Thomas Hutter, Ralph Ineson as Dr. Wilhelm Sievers, Simon McBurney as Herr Knock, and Willem Dafoe as Professor Albin Eberhart Von Franz.
Based on Bram Stoker’s Dracula, Nosferatu is a remake of the 1922 film of the same name. Eggers writes and directs Nosferatu. This is Eggers’ fourth feature film as a director. Eggers previously helmed The Witch, The Lighthouse, and The Northman.
Producers include Eggers, Jeff Robinov, John Graham, Chris Columbus, and Eleanor Columbus.
Nosferatu arrives in theaters on December 25, 2024.
