The Batman star Zoë Kravitz has officially entered negotiations to join the Caught Stealing cast for Sony Pictures‘ forthcoming crime thriller movie, which hails from director Darren Aronofsky.
This comes ahead of the theatrical release of Kravitz’s feature directorial debut Blink Twice, which will be led by Naomi Ackie and Channing Tatum. Kravitz is expected to reprise her role as Selina Kyle/Catwoman in Matt Reeves’ highly-anticipated The Batman Part II, which will debut in theaters on October 6, 2026.
Should Kravitz’s deal push through, she will be starring opposite Oscar nominee Austin Butler, who’s set to portray the lead role of a retired baseball player. The film will be directed and produced by Aronofsky from a screenplay written by Charlie Huston, based on his 2004 novel of the same name. It is produced by Ari Handel’s Protozoa.
The book’s official synopsis reads, “Henry ‘call me Hank’ Thompson used to play California baseball. Now he tends to a bar on Manhattan’s Lower East Side. When two Russians in tracksuits beat Hank to a pulp, he gets the clue: someone wants something from him. He just doesn’t know what it is, where it is, or how to make them understand he doesn’t have it. Within twenty-four hours, Hank is running over rooftops, playing hide-and-seek with the NYPD, riding the subway with a dead man at his side, and counting a whole lot of cash on a concrete floor. All because of some Russian hoods and a flat-out freakshow of goons. All because once, in another life, the only thing Hank wanted to steal was third base—without getting caught.”
