Agatha All Along star Kathryn Hahn served as the guest host on the Wednesday, July 10 episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! and sang a comprehensive recap of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Accompanied by four backup singers, Hahn performed an upbeat number that hilariously summed up everything that has happened in the MCU until now.
Here’s everything you need to know about Kathryn Hahn’s MCU song recap.
Hahn sang the complete MCU recap during her opening monologue for her final appearance as guest host on Jimmy Kimmel Live! She also teased parts of Agatha All Along.
After announcing that Seth Rogen and her Agatha All Along co-star Joe Locke were her guests for the night on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Hahn assured prospective viewers of her upcoming show that they didn’t need to watch all the MCU films and TV shows that came before it.
She said, “Agatha [All Along] doesn’t premiere until September 18th on Disney Plus,” she said. “But in the meantime, a lot of people have asked me if they need to watch every single Marvel movie and show in order to enjoy it. And the answer is no.”
Hahn added that if viewers “want to get caught up with everything that’s going on in the MCU” then she would do it for them through “the power of song.” She mentioned almost every major character in the MCU from Iron Man and Thor to Thanos. She also went over some of the biggest events that happened in the franchise.
Later in the Jimmy Kimmel Live! episode, Hahn interviewed Joe Locke, who plays Billy Kaplan in Agatha All Along. During the interview, Hahn shared a photo of their matching shoes, taken when they did a chemistry read together later “in the process.” She and Locke agreed it was fated for them to work together.
In Agatha All Along, Hahn reprises the role of Agatha Harkness, a powerful witch who served as the primary antagonist in WandaVision. The series also stars Sasheer Zamata as Jennifer Kale and Ali Ahn as Alice Wu-Gulliver.
