Wolff and Sarnoski previously worked together in the critically-acclaimed 2021 drama Pig. Should his casting be confirmed, he would be joining previously announced leading stars, Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o and Stranger Things breakout Joseph Quinn. No word yet on who Wolff will play in the movie.

Apart from the upcoming horror prequel, Wolff will also next be seen in another high-profile project in the form of Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer biopic.

A Quiet Place: Day One will be directed by Michael Sarnoski, and based on an idea by John Krasinski. It will depict the arrival of the blind aliens that have fully taken over the world first envisioned by John Krasinski in the 2018 original.

The sequel shook up the tone of the horror franchise with a thrilling scene that showed the chaos of the early days of the invasion. The prequel will further expand on this concept while also shifting the perspective beyond the Abbott family that the main series follows.

Originally scheduled for a September 22, 2023 release, the A Quiet Place prequel has been pushed for nearly six months and is now scheduled to arrive in theaters on March 8, 2024. Its new theatrical release date will pit the film against no direct competition, but it will be debuting in the same month as two high-profile films, Godzilla vs. Kong 2 and Spider: Beyond The Spider-Verse.
