Suspected phone thief beaten to pulp in Bayelsa

A man was caught and beaten to pulp for allegedly stealing a mobile phone in Azikoro community, Yenagoa Local Government Area of Bayelsa State. 

One Igwe Yenevie, who disclosed this on Friday, July 15, said the suspect allegedly stole a phone from his mother’s shop at Agbura community and was caught same day along Azikoro Road. 

“This young man name unidentified, an indigene of Delta /Rivers state, presently living at Akenfa community, narrowly escaped death at Azikoro town between the hours of 2:3pm yesterday afternoon. He stole tecno phone at Agbura in my mom shop and was caught walking along Azikoro town same yesterday. He is been arrested and taken to Azikoro police station. Any person with useful information about his family should contact Azikoro police station. Thanks for your cooperation” he wrote.
