The denizens of Gate House, nestled within the enclave of Gold Crescent, LSDPC Bungalow Scheme, Oke Afa, Isolo, Lagos, find themselves ensconced in a palpable sense of apprehension.
This unsettling atmosphere has arisen in the wake of a flooding of their estate on Tuesday, September 12, an event precipitated by the consistent rain in the month of September.

This occurrence marks not the inaugural instance this year wherein certain neighborhoods in Lagos have borne the brunt of flooding.
One may recollect that back in June, the residents of Shasha, situated in the Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos State, were compelled to voice their grievances concerning the inundation that beset their community. They cast aspersions on the former state Commissioner of Works, Rauf Aregbesola, attributing the deluge to his directives for the dam release from Ajisebiara-Makka to Shasha.
It is worth noting that this issue has persisted for a protracted duration, with numerous complaints registered at Alausa. Regrettably, the community’s pleas for assistance have thus far gone unanswered.
