Osoba announces death of another Oba in Ogun

Former Ogun State Governor, Olusegun Osoba has announced the demise of the Olu of Kobape, Oba Olufemi Taylor.

Osoba made the announcement in his capacity as the Oluwo of Oba, in Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area of the State.

In a statement he signed on Friday, Osoba said: β€œOn the authority and approval of the Paramount Ruler of Egbaland HRM, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo CFR, I announce that the Olu of Kobape, HRM Oba Olufemi Taylor has joined his ancestors.”

The former Governor said arrangements for the administration of the affairs of Kobape is being put in place by Oba Gbadebo.

The death of Oba Taylor is coming barely two weeks after the Oluwu of Owu, Oba Adegboyega Dosunmu joined his ancestors.

DAILY POST reports that the late Olu of Kobape was a retired officer of the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) before his installation as a traditional ruler.

Before his retirement in the NCS, Oba Taylor rose to the rank of Assistant Comptroller-General (ACG).
