An abroad-based Nigerian lady has shared her heartwarming experience with a foreign professor who went above and beyond to assist her.
The lady, using the X handle @xoxo_maris_u, revealed that she had sprained her ankle and informed her lecturer that she wouldn’t be able to make it to class.
Interestingly, he offered to pick her up at home, provided crutches to aid her movement, and even offered to drive her wherever she needed to go.

The lady was evidently surprised by the professor’s generous gesture because such acts are not common in Nigeria and humorously stated that ‘Nigeria will crumble’.
She tweeted,
“Told my professor that I can’t make it to class cuz I sprained my ankle.Baba is offering to drive from his house to come and give me crutches. And he’s even offering to be driving me around to anywhere I need to get to.
Nigeria you will crumble 😭😭😭”
See her tweet below,
Her tweet has triggered a wave of comments on social media, with many Nigerians asserting that most Nigerian professors would never do that, as they often behave like demigods.

PS: Nigerian lecturers collected appreciation money from each and everyone in my cohort after we finished. To thank them for doing their job and us studying hard to pass the exams.
