Gary Neville has said that Manchester United’s players succeeded in causing the sack of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer but insisted that they cannot repeat the same with Ralf Rangnick.
Rangnick was appointed in November as the replacement for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who was sacked after a series of poor results that saw United hammered 4-1 by Watford.
The Manchester United legend lampooned the players for their first half display against Newcastle on Monday night, adding that that kind of display by the players could get many managers sacked.
Ralf Rangnick’s side were held to a 1-1 draw by Newcastle United with Edinson Cavani cancelling out Allan Saint-Maximin’s first half strike.
“They’re whinging at each other, they’re a bunch of whinge bags. Their arms are up in the air, they’re complaining about everything,” he said on Sky Sports.
“They got the last manager the sack; Ralf Rangnick is not going to get the sack, but they’ll get a lot of managers the sack if they perform like that.”
