Manchester United has announced a new deal for 19-year-old star, Anthony Elanga, ahead of their Premier League clash with Newcastle United on Monday night.
Elanga signed a new contract with Man United that will see him remain at Old Trafford until 2026.
The Red Devils disclosed this in a statement via their website on Friday.
The statement read in part, “Manchester United is delighted to announce that Anthony Elanga has signed a new contract, which will keep him at the club until June 2026, with the option to extend for a further year.”
Elanga joined Man United’s Academy at the age of 12.
The Sweden Under-21 international has made five appearances for the first team so far.
He memorably scored on just his second Premier League start, in last season’s 2-1 victory over Wolves.
Reacting after signing the new contract, Elanga told the club’s official website: “My ultimate ambition has always been to play for Manchester United.
“I am overjoyed that the Club has shown such faith in my development, and I want to thank my family and all of the staff for their ongoing support.
“I know that with hard work and dedication comes opportunity at this special Club and I cannot wait to continue my progress here. Glory to God always.”
