Operatives attached to the Otu-Jeremi Police Station on routine stop and search duty have recovered a pump-action gun, two locally made guns and six rounds of live cartridges from a stolen Lexus 350 SUV with registration number: LG 31 GRA at Oghior/ Imode road, in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State.
The driver of the vehicle made a U-turn and sped off on noticing the Police, DAILY POST can report.
Based on suspicion, the Police gave the hoodlums a hot chase
The hoodlums abandoned the vehicle and escaped into the bush.
The Delta State Police Command led by CP Ari Muhammed Ali confirmed the report in a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe.
The Police image maker said, “Investigation later revealed that the SUV was earlier snatched from the owner along Ughelli-Warri Road.”
According to him, “Manhunt for the fleeing suspect is ongoing.
