AFCON 2021: Eguavoen reveals Super Eagles striker that ‘excites’ him

Super Eagles interim coach, Austin Eguavoen, has admitted Napoli’s Victor Osimhen excites him.

The 22-year-old has scored nine goals in 14 appearances for his Serie A club this season.

Osimhen was also Nigeria’s top scorer in the second round of 2022 World Cup qualifiers with four goals.

He is expected to play at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, after confirming he would be available for selection.

“When I see Osimhen, it reminds me of strikers who can put you on your toes as a defender the entire 90 minutes.

“If you blink, he will punish you.”

“So I think Osimhen is one player that really excites me when it comes to attacking,” Eguavoen told ATHEIST
