Role SummaryYou are responsible for the overall management and development of the Human Resource function. The role holder will strengthen and implement TEP Centres’ Human Resource strategy which covers:
Organizational Development
Talent Management
Compensation and Benefits Management
Developing a high performing productive workforce.
Learning & Development
Employee Relations and Culture Management
Duties & ResponsibilitiesIt’s About Strategy Formulation & Implementation:
Develop and execute talent strategies around: talent acquisition, succession, retention, career management, & reward.
Design performance management system which is objective, equitable, transparent and merit-driven.
Drive change through people. Secure the buy-in and provide support for change initiatives so that employees feel prepared, equipped and supported.
Implement OD strategies, providing subject matter expertise on identified risks.
Develop need-based, cost-effective learning strategies that support TEP Centres’ learning culture.
Develop and execute compensation strategy that will maintain TEP Centres’ market competitiveness and positioning as an employer of choice.
It’s About Effective Talent Management:
Manage and oversee the company’s talent acquisition for all categories of staff.
Work with managers to identify, develop and nurture a robust talent pool for a better succession and workforce plan.
Develop an on-boarding program that will tell a compelling story about TEP Centres’ culture, values.
Implement initiatives that drives TEP Centres’ culture, values and employer branding.
It’s About Learning, Evaluating & Improving:
Establish and maintain appropriate systems for identifying training needs, planning and delivering learning programs and measuring learning impact (ROI).
Manage a learning & development budget.
Provide individual-based learning experiences that promote TEP Centres’ culture, supplement skill needs, promotes compliance with laid policies & processes, enhance team morale, and improve organizational performance in support of TEP Centres’ goal.
Develop new hire orientation deck and facilitate sessions.
It’s About Influencing, Coaching & Advising:
Support and coach leadership on all people matters.
Counsel all employees on HR’s requirement and perspective on all people matters.
Partner with management to understand its HR requirements and ensure they are fully informed of the corporate HR strategy.
Ensure TEP Centre complies with all applicable labour regulations (federal, state, ILO) by keeping abreast of new legislation and advising management on required action points.
Ensure TEP Centre complies with all statutory regulations and makes timely remittances to appropriate fundadministrators.
RequirementsPerson Specification – Knowledge, Skills, Experience:
Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree
Certified HR Professional – HRCI, SHRM, CIPD, CIPM
8+ years experience in Human Resources
Experienceworking with ERP solutionssuch as – ZOHO People Plus, Google Workspace, etc.
Experienceworking with medium scale organizationsin Nigeria or in theinternational development sector
Strong HR Business Partnering background.
Strong track record of developing and implementing policy, experienced inimplementing HR strategy.
Experience of working in partnership with a range of stakeholders including managers, trade unions, employees and external partners.
Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and information to a range of audiences and stakeholders.
Strong ability to adapt to changing and competing priorities and absorbing new information rapidly to address complex issues.
Able to apply judgement, creativity and flexibilityto generate new and innovative ideas and approaches and to solve complex problems.
Able to challenge and influence others, including more senior colleagues and stakeholders, to ensure that the right outcomes are achieved.
Experience of managing conflictand sensitive issues and achieving positive outcomes.
Experience of developing and managing change projects and programs.
Experience of delivering strategic priorities within strict timelines.
Experience of developing workforce plans that reflect organizational/departmental need.
Ability to analyse complex informationand recommended solutions.
