Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Risk Manager to develop long-term risk mitigation strategies, action plans, and contingency interventions.
This role ensures the effectiveness of Eazzy Tranzact’s Governance, Risk Management, and Business Continuity Management processes.
Roles and Responsibilities
Perform daily reconciliation of financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data.
Lead the annual Enterprise Risk Assessment process, ensuring comprehensive evaluation and mitigation strategies.
Implement processes for identifying, measuring, assessing, monitoring, and controlling company risks.
Provide practical and cost-effective risk mitigation recommendations in consultation with business and process owners.
Promote risk awareness and provide education and training on risk management, ensuring all staff understand risk management principles, risk appetite, and governance.
Identify and report on emerging risk trends to keep the company proactive in risk management.
Consistently report business continuity risks and compliance to the leadership team.
Strengthen engagement in business continuity planning and resilience programs by influencing key stakeholders.
Prepare reports for presentation to the Management Risk Committee and the Board Audit and Risk Management Committee periodically.
Assist in responding to significant disruptive events.
Ensure the existence and maintenance of Corporate, Business Unit, and Functional business continuity plan that meet internal and external audit standards.
Liaise with technical and business product owners to identify gaps, set recovery time objectives, and convey business needs and expectations.
Lead or coordinate regular testing of Corporate, Business Unit, and functional business continuity plans.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
A recognized HND / Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Master’s Degree / Professional Certification in a related discipline is an added advantage.
At least 10 years of cognate experience in a Conglomerate and Fintech
Certifications Professional Risk Manager (PRM), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) or related field is and advantage.
Key Competencies:
Strong understanding of risk management principles, frameworks (like COSO), and methodologies for risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring.
Proficiency in risk management software tools is a plus.
Very clear and systematic thinking that demonstrates strong judgment and problem-solving competencies.
Ability to collaborate effectively with various teams across the organization, including compliance, IT, and product development.
Excellent communication skills in a multi cultural environment.
Proven ability to manage organization wide programs with budget management skills.
High level of concentration and patience.
Excellent presentation skills and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint.
In-depth knowledge of regulations applicable to Fintech companies, including anti-money laundering (AML), know-your-customer (KYC), and cybersecurity regulations.
Ability to analyze complex financial and non-financial data to identify potential risks and assess their impact on the business.
Developing and implementing effective risk mitigation strategies and controls to address identified risks.
Excellent engagement and influence skills with external stakeholders
