Job Title: Procurement Officer

Location: Kaduna

Job Summary


The Procurement Officer will be responsible for managing the procurement process for all BFFWH projects.
This role requires a detail-oriented individual with experience in sourcing, purchasing, and managing suppliers within the healthcare or non-profit sectors.

Key Responsibilities


Oversee the entire procurement process, from sourcing suppliers to delivery of goods and services.  
Ensure that all procurement activities are conducted in accordance with organizational policies and donor requirements.
Collaborate with project teams to understand their procurement needs and ensure alignment with project objectives.  
Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and negotiate favorable terms.  
Be ready to travel to various project sites and supplier locations as required to oversee procurement activities and ensure compliance.  
Prepare and review contracts, purchase orders, and agreements with suppliers.  
Monitor and manage supplier performance to ensure timely delivery and quality of goods and services.  
Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including budgets, inventories, and supplier information.  

Qualifications


Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.  
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.  
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the healthcare or NGO sector.  
Strong knowledge of procurement processes, regulations, and best practices.  

Skills and Competencies:


Proficiency in procurement software and tools.  
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.  
Proficiency in Hausa language is an added advantage.
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.  
Experience in budget management and cost control.
