Job Title: Presenter (English, Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa, Pidgin)
Location: Ibadan, OyoEmployment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
Work activities vary, according to the type of programme. Prior to the broadcast, however, presenters may be involved in:
Researching topics and background information for items to be featured on the programme;
Planning and rehearsing shows;
Writing, and sometimes memorising, scripts;
Liaising with other members of the production and technical team/s.
During the broadcast, presenters may be involved in:
Introducing and hosting programmes;
Either reading from a script and/or autocue, or improvising;
Keeping the programme running to schedule – responding positively and quickly to problems or changes, and improvising where necessary;
Keeping in contact with the director and production team in the studio gallery, via ear-piece link.
Interviewing guests in the studio, by telephone or on location;
Reading short news, traffic, sport or weather reports;
Reviewing books, films, music or newspapers;
Providing links between programmes;
After the broadcast, presenters may be involved in:
Meeting with the production crew to assess/review the broadcast;
Meeting with the production crew to advance plan the next broadcast.
Minimum Requirements
The Ideal candidate must have a clear and attractive speaking voice, confidence, a likeable personality and be quick witted to handle unexpected events smoothly.
A comprehensive knowledge of the specialist subject and of current affairs generally, as well as a fluency for language and a natural reading style, an easy rapport with an audience and the ability to work well in a team would be an advantage.
A strong awareness of the technical aspects of getting a show on air, good planning, organisation and timing skills are also essential.

SalaryN30,000 – N45,000 monthly.
