The Plant Manager contributes to the success of Olam plants across the globe.
You are responsible to meet customer needs and achieve standards related to cost, line efficiencies, waste, safety & productivity.
The Plant Head plays a critical role which enables our plants to reach optimum efficiency level this means zero defects, zero waste, and zero losses.
Nature, Scope and Major AccountabilitiesThe Plant Manager leads various functional teams to drive engagement and increased performance:
Maintain & monitor production in respect of output yield/extraction capacity against set targets.
Eye for detail: You control stock levels (through line managers/supervisors) of both raw materials and finished products to ensure efficient response to product specifications.
Completion of any incident or near miss Root Cause Analyses (SHE-EWO) actions
Manage external contractors in a cost-effective manner for cleaning, refuse disposal, gardening, and other routine services. Keep a tab on costs and performance efficiency to ensure cheap yet quality service.
Purchase of all materials necessary to maintain efficient production, handling, and packaging products.
You drive a culture shift for high performance & collaborative teams:
You hold regular health and safety meetings with site head and implement on agreed recommendations from daily and annual contracted audits.
You are responsible to lead by example and ensure full employee awareness of safe working practices and their role in maintaining the required standards.
In this role you will be challenged to develop your line leadership team. You build people capability through effective employee relations, hiring, training, and communication. Motivates team members to achieve plan goals.
Your Profile
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with 10-15 years’ experience. Preferably in Engineering, Business, Operations Management or similar field
You should possess strong team and analytical skills, strategic thinking & leadership abilities.
