Job Title: Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning Officer
Location: KanoEmployment type: Full Time
Responsibilities
Work with the Head, Policy (PSHAN) and other members of the PMO team for the refinement of the Programme MEAL Plans including but not limited to indicator selection, target setting, reporting, database management, and developing M&E and performance monitoring plans.
Lead the development and design of an iterative MEAL program design responsive to the needs of the current implementation and ensure that there are clear opportunities for incorporating learning into program activities.
Manage research activities and ensure outcomes and lessons learned are integrated into the project and shared with relevant stakeholders.
Provide training and mentoring to field officers to ensure the implementation of strong M&E systems.
Support programme unties and external parties (such as SPHCDA and LGA) in routine quarterly Data Quality Audit, Data Quality Assurance.
Support the development of a framework that incorporates accountability at various levels of the project and that this framework clearly links with the various outcomes of the project.
Work with head of policy and other PMO team members to ensure that proper dissemination of learnings from the project for various stakeholders through various channels is planned and executed for the duration of the project.
Participate in data management process such as data collection, collation, triangulation, storage, analysis, and reporting.
Participate in program accountability by leading the development of program monitoring and evaluation reports as specified in project plan.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science disciplines or related Physical Sciences (e.g Statistics).
A Master’s Degree in public health/related science is an advantage.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role within the NGO/Development Industry. Experience or knowledge in MNCH and Nutrition Interventions is an advantage.Â
Verifiable experience using data collection tools such as Kobo Collect, SPSS /Stata/Epi-Info software.
Ability to speak fluent Hausa is required.
Ability to live and work in the North is required.
Knowledge of the major evaluation methodologies (e.g., qualitative, quantitative, mixed method, and impact) and MEAL Frameworks required.
Strong analytical thinking, mathematical and numeric intelligence is required.
