Job Title: Mental Health Supervisor

Main Purpose
Participates in the planning, supervision and coordination of mental health / Pycho-Social related services in the programme in accordance with MSF standards in order to provide the most appropriate mental health support for patients.

Participate in the planning, organization, and coordination of Mental Health activities, in close collaboration with the Mental
Health activity manager and other medical team members.
Coordinates activities of counseling services with other relevant actors and liaises with the local counterparts (like MoH, WHO, ICRC and NGO) on mental health matters, including referral services.
Supervise the daily mental health activities and patient support according to MSF protocols and standards in order to provide the most appropriate support for clients with psychosocial needs.
Oversee the administrative processes associated with psychosocial functioning.
When needed, give psychological support to patients according to MSF protocols to improve mental health conditions of patients and enhance their functionality.
Offer clinical counselling supervision to mental health counsellors in collaboration with the Mental Health Activity Manager.
Ensures ongoing training of psychologist, counsellors and medical/paramedical team to optimize the quality of mental health intervention in the project.
Participates in the collection and analysis of mental health data, ensure validation of data before entering on HMIS.
Responsible for weekly, monthly and annual mental health reports in collaboration with MHAM.
Participates possibly in emergency activity, mass causality, mobile clinic, one shot or exploratory missions in or out of the MSF project zone of intervention.
Ensures quality of care (timely access to correct diagnosis, treatment and management) for patients, following MSF guidelines and protocols.
Supervision of the mental health team clinical work, by observation, live supervision, modelling, case discussion, revision of clinical files with a clear schedule.
Ensures that the patients with MH disorders under pharmacological treatment are also following non-pharmacological interventions.
Cross checks (file review) the proper filling of individual or group session forms, details of examinations, promote the use of TELEMEDCINE PLATFORM of cases require expertise etc… and ensuring the quality of care.
Requirements
Education Essential: Degree or its equivalent in Psychology or any related field.
Experience Essential: Minimum of 2 years experience as a psychologist or Psyco-social counselling
Essential: Experience with MSF or other International NGOs in Developing countries,
experience working in an international environment.
Language Mission language essential. Local language desirable.
Knowledge Essential: Computer literacy (Word, Excel and Internet).
Gross Monthly SalaryAccording to MSF National Salary Scale.
