Job Overview
A Process and Documentation Auditor for a retail hypermarket company is responsible for conducting comprehensive evaluations of the organization’s and each retail outlet’s processes and documentation to ensure they are efficient, effective, and in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
The primary duties of a Process and Documentation Auditor include:
Developing and implementing audit plans and protocols to assess the company’s processes and related documentation.
Reviewing and verifying the accuracy of process documentation, including process maps, flowcharts, and standard operating procedures.
Communicating findings and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders, and following up to ensure implementation of recommendations.
Collaborating with other departments, such as finance, human resources, and IT, to ensure that internal audits are aligned with the company’s overall risk management strategy.
Ensuring that all audits are conducted in accordance with industry standards, regulations, and the company’s policies and procedures.
Keeping up-to-date with changes in industry standards, regulations and best practices, and incorporating these into audit evaluations.
Conducting process observations to verify that processes are being carried out in accordance with the documented procedures.
Collecting and analyzing data on process performance, including metrics such as cycle time, error rate, and customer satisfaction.
Identifying areas for improvement in processes and related documentation and making recommendations for enhancement.
Qualification Requirements
A Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Relevant certifications such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)
Several years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or Auditing.
Skill:
The ideal candidate for this role should have a strong understanding of process improvement methodologies, experience in auditing and process analysis, excellent problem-solving skills, strong computer and Microsoft Excel skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills as well as excellent report writing skills.
Additionally, they should have a detailed knowledge of retail operations and a deep understanding of the hypermarket industry.
Salary RangeN100,000 – N110,000 / month.
