PG Consulting Limited – Our client, a Steel Company, is recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Crane Operator

Location: Shagamu, Ogun
Working Hours: 12 hrs Rotating shift patterns
Working days: Monday-Saturday
​​​​​​​Reporting: Production Head

Responsibilities

The role of the Ladle Crane Operator is to safely operate the hot metal crane during operations and during times of maintenance at the facility
Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to transporting hot metal for the operation
Emptying ladles after processing, coordinating the operations with the entire melt shop team, and to cross train other team members in the hot metal crane operator position
Operating a cab-controlled overhead crane and working around molten steel and slag.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within SMS; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead and uphold safety practices, policies, procedures
Track functioning of the machine during process and off – process for any irregularities; Inform the Manager/ In-charge for corrective action (filling logbook, records, and checklist).

Requirements / Qualifications

OND / HND in mechanical Engineering is an advantage.
6 – 10 years
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Knowledge of processes, tools and techniques
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Salary
N100,000 – N150,000 / Month.
