Job Description


We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Officer to join our team in Lagos, Nigeria.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in expanding our client base and promoting our comprehensive procurement and payment facilitation services.

Duties / Responsibilities


Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive company growth
Develop and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients
Negotiate contracts and close deals with new clients
Develop strategies to increase market share and improve the company’s competitive position
Monitor and report on sales activities, opportunities, and market trends
Represent MPS at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions
Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities in global procurement
Create and deliver compelling presentations on MPS services to prospective clients
Collaborate with the procurement team to understand client needs and tailor solutions
Work closely with other departments to ensure client satisfaction and retention.

Qualifications


Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration / International Trade, or a related field
3+ years of experience in business development, preferably in procurement or international trade
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
Fluency in English; knowledge of other languages is a plus
Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings or industry events.
Strong understanding of global procurement processes and payment solutions
Must have a Client base of Corporate organizations
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders

Adaptability to changing market conditions and client needs.
Strong analytical and research skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Salary
N200,000 – N300,000 monthly, plus performance-based bonuses.
