Job Description

Work directly with Engineers and other Staff to Support the processing of print requests, production of printed parts, inventories of print materials, and the maintenance of associated 3D printers.
Ensures the successful implementation of fixtures on the production floor.
Assists in creating programs (such as Laser Marking programs, and CNC programs), 3D models, associated fixtures, drawings, templates, overlays, etc. Role is office-based.
Support quality and compliance by adhering to all procedures, work instructions, and forms per the Quality Health and Safety Management Systems (QHS).
Designs and manages fabrication or acquisition of fixtures used in various processes.

Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechatronics with post-graduation in Tool & Die Making / Fabrication
Demonstrated ability to develop experimental concepts quickly and iterate based on empirical evidence ·Experience in mechanical prototyping design and assembly: mechanically inclined, able to work with their hands to design, assemble/disassemble, modify, and operate test apparatuses
Good manual dexterity and practical hands-on skills, competent with the use of hand tools
There are physical and manual elements to the job, the ability to handle these elements is essential.
The ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as being able to work within a team
An understanding of the requirement to follow procedures to maintain high standards of health and safety.
Experience using CAD software (Solidworks) preferred
Ability to operate manual machine tools (basic lathe, mill).
Use of hand and power tools
Previous experience with 3D printers and other additive manufacturing techniques, preferred but not required
