Nigerian singer, Divine Ikubor, widely known as Rema, has finally addressed allegations of his involvement with the world’s most powerful secret society, Illuminati.
These allegations have been circulating for a while, especially since the ‘Dumebi’ crooner began wearing a chain with a pendant featuring a burning church and an upside-down cross.
However, the controversy escalated when he shared a video to announce his upcoming EP, ‘Smooth Criminal – Ravage,’ scheduled for release this Friday. The video had a mysterious and dark vibe, with bats.
This didn’t sit well with many of his followers, who heavily criticized him for what they perceived as an infusion of satanism in his video.

Interestingly, Rema didn’t take the comments lying down as he took to his Instastory to debunk claims that he has joined the Illuminati.
He explained that the bats and the red background symbolize his Edo heritage, emphasizing that they have nothing to do with satanism or the Illuminati.
Furthermore, he reiterated that he has worked too hard in his music career to allow people to attribute his success to the devil, adding that ‘Jesus is King.’

“Day 1 Ravers, help me educate the new Ravers that I have been on this bat shit for a long time. You all would have so much clarity if you easily Google where I’m from, what the key colors of my heritage are, what flies in the skies of Benin every evening, etc.
“As I evolve, my execution will evolve unapologetically. Please know your artist. It is why I do interviews. And that Illuminati talk is trash. I work too hard to create art for you guys to give the glory to some diabolical shit. Dead it now. Jesus is King.”
