Queen Tobi Phillips, one of the wives of the revered Yoruba monarch, the Ooni of Ife, has finally addressed those trolling her for not speaking Yoruba in her videos.
Taking to her Instagram page, the former beauty queen revealed that she has been severely trolled on social media for not speaking Yoruba in her videos.

Shutting down her detractors, Queen Tobi shared a video of herself speaking Yoruba fluently in an interview with BBC Yoruba.
In her caption, she explained that while Yoruba may not be her default language, whenever she does speak it, she ensures that she does it with the right tone.
“Good morning fam, I hope your day is off to a great start. This is for those who have been trying to troll me about speaking Yoruba in my previous videos.
I may not speak Yoruba as my default language, but best believe that whenever I do, I make sure to speak it with the right tone.” She wrote.

Just recently, Queen Tobi Phillips, one of the wives of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, hinted at the pressure she is currently experiencing.
This comes shortly after reports circulated about the arrival of a new wife, identified as Queen Opeoluwa Elizabeth Akinmuda, into the palace on Tuesday.
The new Queen will be traditionally ushered into the ancient Ife Oodua Palace in Ile-Ife, Osun state, on Thursday, followed by a thanksgiving ceremony on Sunday.
Shortly after the news made rounds online, Queen Tobi made a comeback to social media after over a month long break.
The queen, whose previous post was on March 24, boldly declared her return to Instagram, and emphasized that she is back stronger than ever before.
She expressed gratitude to everyone who checked up on her during her absence, and assured them that she is back and better.
“Pressure Ti Wa 🥰 Y’all better fasten your seat belt cos back to back lewwksss,” she captioned the appreciation video.
