Popular Nigerian music executive, Ubi Franklin has recounted how he once had $5 million in his name and was still depressed.
Ubi opened up on his battle with depression in a recent chat with media personality, Taymesan, on his podcast, “Tea with Taymesan”.
While speaking on his trials, the 36-year-old talent manager said in 2017, he made the whooping sum of five million dollars from cryptocurrency and other investments but was still unhappy.
He disclosed that he was depressed because he got the funds a year after his marriage to actress, Lilian Esoro, crashed due to his poor financial status and inability to provide for the family.
Ubi said in his search for happiness, he bought a brand new Mercedes Benz C300, lodged in several hotels, visited different countries on vacation, did everything on his bucket list, but nothing worked.
According to him, despite all the money had in his possession, nothing gave him happiness and he was still overcame with depression.

A while back, Ubi Franklin revealed that superstar singer Davido hired him to manage his woman, Chioma.
Ubi made the disclosure while speaking about his relationship with the DMW boss and his spouse, Chioma, on Tea with Taymesan podcast.
According to him, Davido reached out to him in 2018 and asked him to be Chiona’s manager because he considers him family.
Ubi also disclosed that Davido has always supported him in different ways and has never once judged him for any of the controversial issues surrounding his marriage or business.
He further noted that he values his relationship with the 30BG boss and his wife, Chioma, and loves them greatly because they always support him.
