“It’s my own way of giving back to community” – Olamide on why he started signing artists

Nigerian singer Olamide has disclosed that he founded a record company and signed many talented musicians in the nation because he saw it as a way to give back to the community.
The legendary YBNL president stated that he started a record company so he could invest his money in the careers of up-and-coming musicians.

He revealed this in an interview with Ebro Darden of Apple Music.
He said,
“I just started stacking up money, and the money was becoming too much for me. I’m like, yo, I don’t have anything to do with all this money, mehn, I need to sign new guys. Let me spend money on people, you know.It is just like my own little way of giving back to the community.”
