Popular Nollywood actress, Mercy Johnson, has reacted to the tragic death of a 12-year-old student of Chrisland International School, Opebi, Lagos, Whitney Adeniran.
The 12-year-old died last Thursday during the school’s inter-house sports event at Agege Stadium.

The deceased, according to the school, slumped in “public view” and was rushed to the nearest medical facility for first aid.
However, her bereaved parents accused the school management of an alleged cover-up.

Whitney’s mother, Mrs. Blessing Adeniran, who cried out online, demanding answers to what happened to her daughter in a heartbreaking video, questioned how a healthy teenager with no medical condition could have suffered a cardiac arrest, as the school alleged.
“How does a 12-year-old have a cardiac arrest? No pre-existing heart condition, no pre-existing medical condition. She was hale and hearty, she was not sick in any form. Even if she will die from cardiac arrest why should one arrest kill a healthy teenager? Let me state this, that by the time I got there, my daughter’s lips and tongue had already turned black.” The mother said in part.
Reacting, actress Mercy Johnson, whose children also attend Chrisland School, revealed that she has spoken to the management to heed the cry of Whitney’s mother and release the details of what happened to her daughter.
Mercy Johnson, in a post on her Instagram page, said that she is responding to the cries of a mother going through the worst pain ever, who wants to know how her child died suddenly.
While sending her condolence to the deceased’s parents, she stated that no parent deserves this.
“I’m responding to the cries of a mother going through the worst pain ever. A mother who wants to know how her child died so suddenly @bam.babycity. No parent deserves this, no one. Since I saw this heartbreaking video this morning, I’ve called to plead with the school @chrislandinsta to do as Whitney’s mum has cried for and release the full details of what happened to her daughter. We are all waiting.” She wrote.
