Popular Nigerian singer, Adekunle Gold, has called out the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The “sinner” crooner, in a post via his official Twitter page on Sunday, said the electoral body that oversees elections in Nigeria is “the most irresponsible organization.”
“Nah! INEC is the most irresponsible organization.” He wrote.

Although Adekunle Gold didn’t elaborate on why he called INEC out, his post came after the presidential and national assembly elections that were held on Saturday, February 25.
Many Nigerians had complained online about INEC officials not showing up on time at their polling unit, hitches in uploading the election results at some polling units, as well as violence that erupted in some parts of the country during the process.
In other news, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Labour party candidate, Mr Thaddeus Attah, as the winner of the Eti-Osa Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives.
This was announced on Sunday at the Collation Centre in Lagos State Model Nursery and Primary School, Marwa, Lekki 1.
Attah won the election with 24,075 votes, beating his counterparts, singer and politician Banky W of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who had 18,666 votes, and Mr Babjide Obanikoro of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who had 16, 901 votes.
The INEC Returning Officer, Prof Funmilayo Odukoya, who declared the result said,
“That Thaddeus Attah of LP, having satisfied the requirement of the law is hereby declared winner and is returned elected; signed by me. Thank you so much.”
