1. Hiking in Angels Landing, Utah. Check out one of the most difficult hikes on the planet. It is well-known thanks to its narrow ridge in the final climb. There are some chain assisted rock scrambling sections, which help to climb on top to see a gorgeous view. It’s best to visit Utah during spring and fall. Be careful – there have been 17 deaths so far.

2. Cliff walking at Mt. Huashan, China. This mountain, which is one of the sacred peaks in China, is considered to be very dangerous to climb. Hikers walk across a few wooden planks on the side of a 7000-feet peak. The fact, that the path is very steep and elevation is very high, makes this extreme adventure worthy of a place in our top-10.

3. Kayaking in Inga, Democratic Republic of Congo. As of 2019, there has been only one team that has kayaked through the rapids of this rough river. Some of the rapids’ speed is about 1.6 million cubic feet per second. Adventurers should know: rapids aside, there are waterfalls and 40-feet tall waves.

4. Frozen lake trekking, India.  Chadar trek in Leh and Ladakh involves about 9 continuous days of trekking. This 38.5-mile trek is over the Zanskar River and steep mountains, where snow sometimes closes mountain passes. This extreme adventure suits only experienced travelers, as often it gets very hard to even breathe.

5. Snorkeling in Silfra Fissure, Iceland. Created by the separation of Eurasian and North American tectonic plates, Silfra cuts through Iceland. Even though this pure drinkable water can be pretty cold to swim in, don’t let this stop you from having one of the most stunning experiences in your life.

8. Death Road, Bolivia. Just like the name suggests, this is one of the most dangerous places in the world. What makes it a place suitable for extreme adventures? Only landslides, cascades, intense fog, and cliff drop of about 2000 feet at every turn. If this does not seem crazy enough, the road doesn’t get wider than 10 feet at any point. More than a dozen cyclists have died there over the last decade.

 10. Running with the bulls, Spain. Imagine running half a mile through the beautiful narrow streets of Pamplona. Doesn’t sound too extreme? Oh, forgot to mention that six huge fighting bulls are participating as well. Though the distance is quite short, it’s almost impossible to finish the race not only because of the bulls but because of 2000 other participants. Not surprisingly, it sometimes results in injuries and even deaths.
