TOPIC: Jesus Is Lord And King (Rhapsody of Realities 13 October 2022)
⊠Until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ: Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords
(1 Timothy 6:14-15).
Rhapsody Of Realities For Today MESSAGE:
The Lord Jesus is the King of kings, and Lord of Lords. When He was born, the Bible says, ââŠthere came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship himâ (Matthew 2:1-2). He didnât become a king; He was born a king.
In John 18, we find His own testimony when Pilate asked Him, âArt thou a king then?â Jesus responded, â⊠Thou sayest that I am a kingâŠâ (John 18:37). His response meant, âYouâre right.â He spoke in the affirmative. In fact, in the 39th verse, speaking to the Jews, Pilate confirmed Jesusâ affirmation when he said, ââŠwill ye therefore that I release unto you the King of the Jews?â
Had Jesus denied being a King, Pilate wouldnât call Him the King of the Jews. In Acts 2:30, speaking to an audience, Peter said, âTherefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him (David), that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne.â
In John 12:13, upon His triumphal entry into Jerusalem, the crowds extravagantly honoured Him and praised God for sending this King into Jerusalem. They cried out, â⊠Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord.â
Of course, the elders of the Jews were offended and told Him to silence those who praised Him and received Him as King (Luke 19:39). But Jesus responded, ââŠIf they kept quiet, the stones along the road would burst into cheersâ (Luke 19:40 NLT). In other words, even the stones will affirm the same. Hallelujah!
The Lord Jesus is the exalted God, the immortal God, living in unapproachable light of divine glory. Thereâs none like Him. Weâre not serving a mere religious leader, but one who is King and Monarch of the universe. He has all authority in heaven, in earth, and under the earth. Be unapologetic in your identity with Him, and speak boldly of Him. Glory to His Name forever!
PRAYER
Dear Lord Jesus, youâre the King eternal, immortal, with all power, glory and majesty. Youâre the joy of heaven and hope of the earth. Youâre the Most High God, who alone is worthy of all praise, honour and adoration. Youâre King of the ages. I worship you today and forever. Amen.

1 Timothy 6:13-16 (KJV) â 13 I give thee charge in the sight of God, who quickeneth all things, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession; 14 That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ: 15 Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords; 16 Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.
John 12:12-15 (KJV) â 12 On the next day much people that were come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem, 13 Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord. 14 And Jesus, when he had found a young ass, sat thereon; as it is written, 15 Fear not, daughter of Sion: behold, thy King cometh, sitting on an assâs colt.
