MESSAGE:
You may have heard someone say “We are in the dispensation of the Holy Spirit. This saying is true. The Holy Spirit is the third Person in the Trinity. He is the Comforter (John 14:16). When someone is bereaved, the best source of comfort comes from the Holy Spirit. He knows how best to calm the fellow down. He is the Teacher (John 14:26). The Holy Spirit is the One who reveals the deep secrets of the word of God. The best enlightenment in any area comes from the Holy Spirit. As a matter of fact, the Holy Spirit also gives insights and ideas to those who ask Him. He also brings to one’s remembrance the things he/she has forgotten. The Holy Spirit is the Source of divine power (Acts 1:8). He empowers believers to perform signs and wonders. Believe me, without the Holy Spirit in the life of a Christian, such a person is empty and powerless because He is the seal upon the children of God. His fruit distinguishes one from those who practise religion. Matthew 7:20 says by their fruits, you shall know them.
Therefore, if He is not in your life, ask Him in today.
KEY POINT:
A Christian without the Holy Spirit is merely practising religion.
HYMN: O Spread The Tidings Round
CHORUS
The Comforter has come,
The Comforter has come!
The Holy Ghost from heaven,
The Father’s promise given;
O spread the tidings ’round,
wherever man is found:
The Comforter has come!
