READ: Proverbs 13:11

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Galatians 3:1-29, Isaiah 4-6

MESSAGE:

When I was much younger, there were fraudsters who would make prey of gullible people or anyone who wanted to make quick cash. These days, it is unfortunate that there are so many young boys involved in cybercrime, called yahoo boys. The worst are those that do yahoo plus (e shock you say I sabi?). It is bad enough to be involved in cybercrime; why add diabolical means to it?

My child, never get involved in fraud of any kind. It is a sin, no matter how toned down it is. Involvement in fraud shows that you are not a child of God, you lack contentment and you are in a rush to make money. Please take a moment to read the memory verse again. Anyone who makes such money. will die young. What then is the essence of making the money that you will not live long to enjoy?

The problem most people who go into cybercrime have is that of comparison. They compare themselves with friends or people who are living big. The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 10:12 that whoever compares himself with another is not wise. Avoid every pitfall of cybercrime.

ACTION POINT:

Do away with friends whose source of wealth you can’t vouch for.

HYMN: Nearer, My God

  1. Nearer, my God, to Thee,
    nearer to thee!
    E’en though it be a cross
    that raiseth me,
    still all my song shall be,
    nearer, my God,
  2. Though like the wanderer,
    the sun gone down,
    darkness be over me,
    my rest a stone;
    yet in my dreams I’d be
    nearer, my God, to Thee; (2ce)
    nearer to Thee!
  3. There let the way appear,
    steps unto heaven;
    all that Thou sendest me,
    in mercy given;
    angels to beckon me
    nearer, my God, to Thee; (2ce)
    nearer to Thee!
  4. Then with my waking thoughts
    bright with Thy praise,
    out of my stony griefs
    Bethel I’ll raise;
    so by my woes to be
    nearer, my God, to Thee; (2ce)
    nearer to Thee!
  5. Or if, on joyful wing
    cleaving the sky,
    sun, moon, and stars forgot,
    upward I fly,
    still all my song shall be,
    nearer, my God, to Thee; (2ce)
    nearer to Thee!
