MESSAGE:
Every form of addiction is not good and can lead one to destruction. I would like you to note that addictions do not only refer to drugs. There are some habits that are addictive and unless one breaks free of them, one would not only regret it in life but also miss Heaven. For instance, some teenagers cannot do without their phones or social media for a whole day. They can be on social media for hours even when they have chores or school work to do. Some cannot do without watching the television. When the television is on, they forget about everyone or other things they ought to do. Some are also addicted to some television programmes such as soccer games; if a match is clashing with a fellowship or service, they would rather miss the latter.
For some, it is their craving to buy the latest fashions or have the trending hairstyles.
They always want to be seen as those who are fashionable.
My child, everything should be done in moderation. Anything you cannot control will always control you. 1 Corinthians 9:27 urges you to keep your body under subjection.
PRAYER POINT:
Father, please help me to subject everything about me to Your control.
HYMN: Stand Up, Stand Up For Jesus
Daily Devotional for Teen’s guide was written by Pastor E.A. Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, one of the largest evangelical church in the world and also the President of Christ the Redeemer’s Ministries.
