MESSAGE:
When I newly became the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, I faced a lot of battles. People that I thought would have my back any day disappointed me, so much so that I felt offended and found it difficult to let go of the hurt. There was one elderly man in particular that God even told me to apologise to and I obeyed.
My child, humans are bound to offend one another, friends are bound to offend each other. Some offences can be so hurtful that the offended would find it difficult to forgive. As a child of God, however, no offence should be too big for you to forgive. The reason you find it difficult to forgive is that you have not told the Healer of wounds. Jesus is the only One that can heal some wounds that run deep into the heart. For instance, only Jesus can heal a sexually abused fellow because what is lost can never be regained. When Jesus heals such a fellow, forgiveness will become easy.
Have you ever been betrayed or hurt by anyone before? Do you still find it difficult to forgive those who have despitefully used or offended you? Turn to Jesus today.
ACTION POINT:
Ask Jesus to heal all your wounds today.
