The National Export Promotion Council (NEPC) has engaged the State Export Promotion Council (SEPC) and FCT with a view to tackling underlying challenges and accelerating the contribution of non-export across the states.
The move is coming against the background of nationwide expansion driven by the NEPC, which has seen an increase in the number of NEPC offices move from 15 in 2016 to 34 while effort is underway to establish the same in Bayelsa and Gombe states.

Ezra informed state participants that the non-oil export performance of the country had been on the onward movement within the last one-year, notwithstanding the impact of COVID-19 on the economy in 2019 and 2020.
The agency also disclosed the national non-oil export recorded the highest performance in 2022 with a total value of $2.59billion.
This, he said, represents 62.37% compared with $1.60 billion recorded during the same period in 2021, adding that the non-oil export performance has been on the onward movement within the last year, notwithstanding the impact of COVID-19 on the economy in 2019 and 2020.
