Job Title: Procurement Officer

Description 

Are you skilled in procurement and keen on supporting operational efficiency? A fast-rising engineering firm in Lagos is looking for a Procurement Officer to manage the procurement process, from sourcing suppliers to negotiating contracts.

Key Responsibilities

Identify and evaluate potential suppliers that meet quality, cost, and reliability standards.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to meet procurement needs and implement strategies.
Ensure compliance with budget and procurement policies, and track key metrics.
Stay informed on industry trends and best practices to enhance procurement processes.
Secure favorable terms with suppliers, draft and review procurement documents.
Maintain strong relationships with suppliers through regular communication and performance evaluations.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software.
Knowledge of procurement best practices and relevant regulations.
Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
Proven experience in procurement or a similar role.
Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
