While the new Jurassic World movie remains shrouded in mystery, star Jonathan Bailey recently revealed that the project has officially begun filming.
During a recent interview with V Magazine, Bailey opened up about the film, sharing that they had already begun filming. “I’m on a really long holiday in the jungle, pretending to run away from fake dinosaurs . . . Um, no, I’m filming Jurassic Park,” joked the star.
Bailey also spoke about David Koepp — who wrote the original Jurassic Park — script for the upcoming film and said that the vibe around the film is to bring things back to “what the original achieved.”
“I can say that it’s written by David Koepp, who wrote the original,” Bailey said. “It feels like it’s in ultimate hands to bring it back to what the original achieved. (Jurassic Park) was the first film I went to see with my whole family, and I was way too young, I was terrified.”
The currently untitled Jurassic World film will star Scarlett Johansson, Bailey, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Rupert Friend, Mahershala Ali, Luna Blaise, David Iacono, and Audrina Miranda.
The new Jurassic World movie is written by David Koepp, who wrote Jurassic Park and its sequel, The Lost World: Jurassic Park. It will launch a “new Jurassic era” featuring a story that will likely not include returning characters from previous Jurassic World or Jurassic Park movies. A couple of weeks back, Gareth Edwards was reported to be directing the film.
