Job Title: Project Assistant / Field Officer

Job Summary


The Project Assistant/Field Officer will support the implementation and monitoring of projects by working directly with beneficiaries and field staff.
This role requires a proactive individual with experience in fieldwork, community engagement, and administrative support within the non-profit or healthcare sector.  

Key Responsibilities


Assist in the implementation of project activities, including planning, scheduling, and coordination of field operations.  
Provide administrative support to project teams, including documentation, data collection, and report preparation.  
Engage with community members and beneficiaries to facilitate project activities and gather feedback.  
Assist in organizing and conducting training sessions, workshops, and community outreach events.  
Ensure compliance with organizational policies and donor requirements during field operations.  
Collaborate with local stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and community groups, to enhance project impact.
Conduct field visits to monitor project progress, address challenges, and ensure adherence to project guidelines.  
Collect and analyze data related to project outcomes and provide insights to project teams.  
Maintain accurate records of field activities, including attendance, resource usage, and beneficiary interactions.  

Qualifications


Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Public Health, Community Development, or a related field.  
Minimum of 2 years of experience in fieldwork or project support, preferably within the non-profit or healthcare sector.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in diverse and challenging environments.
 
Strong understanding of community engagement and field operations.    

Skills and Competencies:  


Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data management tools.  
Experience in report writing and data analysis.  
Proficiency in Hausa language is an added advantage. 
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.  
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks effectively.
