Sayali is a young woman managing her family’s flower shop and sugarcane stall while juggling various responsibilities. Her parents argue, but Sayali steps in, telling them to handle the store as she needs to deliver garlands to the temple. At the temple, the priest jokes about her avoiding marriage, but Sayali firmly states she won’t marry until she achieves her dreams. She prays for two couples and her family before leaving.

Back at the shop, Sayali sees her mother selling flowers to a lady who taunts her for their poverty. Sayali’s younger brother also comments on their financial struggles, complaining about not having a phone for college projects. Sayali advises him to be content with life, then encourages her siblings to focus on their studies. Despite their limited finances, their mother gives them 50 rupees. Sayali makes light of the situation, but her parents feel sad that she has taken on so many responsibilities.

Meanwhile, Sachin, another key character, is introduced washing a car, with red color accidentally splashing on his face. He washes it off and notices a procession for Bappa Jhanki, which prompts him to pray. Sachin talks to his friends and hears about Rohit’s upcoming marriage. He cynically remarks that he won’t donate money for love and marriage, referencing how his own mother left him after believing in astrology. However, his grandmother has been there for him.

Sayali continues her day, impressing a shopkeeper with her business skills, who predicts she will become a successful businesswoman. Sachin, on the other hand, scolds a couple for romancing in the backseat of his taxi and loses his job when his boss fires him over a lost deal.

Later, Sayali serves poha to an old man, who blesses her, but when some goons demand food and one of them touches her inappropriately, she cleverly tricks him by adding too much chili to his food. When he asks for water, she refuses and scolds him.

In another scene, Sayali’s brother plays Ludo with a friend who is hiding from the police. The friend tempts him with the promise of a bike. Sayali scolds her brother for associating with this friend, whom she considers bad company, and insists he go to class.

Sachin, while driving, encounters bikers who cause an accident involving a woman on a scooter. He helps her and then chases down the bikers, beating them up in anger. Sayali, witnessing this, urges someone to stop the fight and insists that they should call the police. As she helps the injured biker, Sachin hears her and turns to see who she is, marking their first significant encounter.
