Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Purchasing and Supply Manager to oversee our procurement activities and manage the supply chain processes.
The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing quality products, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.
The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, excellent negotiation abilities, and a deep understanding of supply chain management.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement:
Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure the timely acquisition of quality goods and services.
Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on cost, quality, and reliability.
Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to achieve the best possible terms and conditions.
Supply Chain Management:
Manage the end-to-end supply chain process, including demand planning, inventory management, and logistics.
Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Monitor and analyze market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
Vendor Relations:
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
Evaluate supplier performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
Conduct regular supplier audits to ensure adherence to quality standards and contract terms.
Budget Management:
Develop and manage the procurement budget, ensuring cost-effective spending and resource allocation.
Monitor expenses and provide regular financial reports to management.
Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals.
Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience in procurement and supply chain management, preferably in [industry].
