GPON is presently operating in the Northeastern regional part of Nigeria where we have reached over 100,000 lives with relief materials, child protection services. GBV mitigation services, livelihood skill-building, health services, and Education support services.

Job Title: Project Coordinator

Job Summary
The Project Coordinator is responsible for the overall management and coordination of project activities, ensuring effective implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
The role involves planning, organizing, and overseeing project activities to achieve the desired outcomes, working closely with project staff, partners, and stakeholders.Â
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Implementation:Â
Develop detailed project plans, including objectives, activities, timelines, and budgets.Â
Coordinate the implementation of project activities according to the plan, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.Â
Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure successful completion.Â
Team Management:Â
Lead and manage project staff, providing guidance, support, and capacity building.Â
Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring clear communication and coordination.Â
Conduct regular team meetings to review progress, address challenges, and plan future activities.Â
Budget Management:Â
Manage project budgets, ensuring funds are used effectively and efficiently.Â
Monitor expenditures and ensure they are in line with the project budget.Â
Prepare financial reports and ensure compliance with donor regulations and organizational policies.Â
Compliance and Reporting:Â
Ensure all project activities comply with organizational policies, donor regulations, and relevant laws.Â
Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation and records.Â
Prepare and submit timely reports to donors, partners, and internal stakeholders.Â
Stakeholder EngagementÂ
Build and maintain strong relationships with project partners, beneficiaries, and other stakeholders.Â
Facilitate collaboration and coordination among stakeholders to achieve project objectives.Â
Represent the organization at meetings, workshops, and other events related to the project.Â
Monitoring and Evaluation:Â
Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation plans to track project performance and impact.Â
Collect and analyze data on project activities and outcomes, using it to inform decision-making and improve project implementation.Â
Prepare regular reports on project progress, challenges, and achievements for internal and external stakeholders.Â
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Development Studies, or a related field.
Experience in budget management and financial reporting.Â
Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office applications.Â
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.Â
Ability to speak the local language (Hausa and/or Kanuri) is an advantage.Â
Â
At least 3-5 years of experience in project coordination or management, preferably in a humanitarian or development context.Â
Strong knowledge of project management principles, practices, and tools.Â
