Job Title: Fleet Officer

Job Summary

A Fleet maintenance officer, is responsible for leading a team of Drivers to transport company goods efficiently.
Their duties include creating work schedules and transportation routes for Drivers to pick up and deliver goods to the correct location, managing a budget for vehicle repairs and replacements and ensuring Driver candidates receive proper training to uphold safe driving standards.

Responsibilities

Scheduling regular maintenance on all vehicles/bikes
Ordering urgent or emergency repairs as needed
Establishing efficient routes and transportation schedules
Searching for, hiring and training new drivers/riders/busboys (dispatch team members).
Providing reports to management on budgeting, schedules, maintenance and fleet progress
Developing methods to decrease cost and improve efficiency
Vetting of dispatch team members (busboys, drivers, riders and their guarantors)
Coordinate and supervise day-to-day activities of  drivers/riders/busboys, loading, dispatches, and deliveries.
Managing vehicle licensure/registration and renewals
Ensuring all fleet members have proper licensure and up-to-date training
Enforcing vehicle checklist and monitoring Drivers to ensure adherence to schedules and proper driving practices
Perform any other duties assigned by the Management 

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Business / Logistics, or a related field.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics/ Fleet management.
Proficient in MS Office/Google Workspace
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Basic knowledge of system-based inventory management systems.
Ability to adapt to changes in procedures, technologies, or work environments.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Salary
N150,000 Monthly
