Chelsea boss, Mauricio Pochettino, has given his verdict on Nicolas Jackson after his team’s Premier League 2-0 defeat to Brentford on Saturday.
Pochettino said that the Senegal international needs to adapt after he failed to score in Chelsea’s defeat to Brentford, insisting that bad luck is to blame for the team’s inability to score enough goals so far this season.
Jackson was unable to save Chelsea as the Blues lost at Stamford Bridge, following goals from Ethan Pinnock and Bryan Mbeumo.
Speaking in his post-match press conference, Pochettino also lamented the absence of Christopher Nkunku, who is currently recovering from injury.
“So far no. Bad luck. Nkunku, who has proved he can score goals, was injured in the last pre-season game,” Pochettino said.
“Jackson is young and arrived this season and needs to adapt.”
