Boniface teed up Jeremie Frimpong for Bayer Leverkusen’s opening goal in the 13th minute.

The forward was in action for the entire duration of the keenly contested game.

The Nigeria international is currently the third-joint top scorer in the Bundesliga this season, behind Serhou Guirassy and Harry Kane.

Bayer Leverkusen maintained the top position on the table with 22 points from eight games.
