The 2023 biographical comedy feature BlackBerry is getting turned into a three-part limited series by AMC. Directed by Matt Johnson, BlackBerry stars Glenn Howerton and Jay Baruchel as the men behind the then-popular Canadian mobile line. It is set to hit AMC and AMC+ on November 13.

“Inspired by an Insane, Outrageous, Idiotic, and Genius True Story”

BlackBerry explores the creation of the now-defunct phone company and how the rise of Androids and Apple contributed to its downfall. The synopsis for the film — now a TV show — reads: “The true story of the meteoric rise and catastrophic demise of the world’s first smartphone, the film is a whirlwind ride through a ruthlessly competitive Silicon Valley at breakneck speeds.”
