Valuehandlers is a supply chain management company, a Freight forwarding expert, specializes in the provision of total logistic Services which Include specifically: Air Cargo, Sea or Ocean shipping, Express Parcel, Import Documentation, Customs Clearing, Consolidation, door delivery from and to 80 countries. We also offer inland delivery service in Nigeria.

Job Title: Business Development Executive

Location: Ogba – Ikeja, LagosEmployment Type: Full-time

Job Description

The business development executive of a shipping and logistics company like our, will be responsible for overseeing the process of business development within, and to promote Valuehandlers longevity.
The ideal candidate will have 3 – 5 years of experience in the shipping and logistics industry with a strong background in freight forwarding.
As a Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to increase revenue, market share, and profitability.
Our business development executive duties include working closely with other company executives and management teams, meeting with potential business partners and maintaining existing client relationships and monitoring market trends to come up with new business opportunities.
This individual should be a motivated customer sales representative with experience and an entrepreneurial spirit.
We are looking for an experienced Business Development Executive to join our shipping and logistics company- Valuehandlers.

Responsibilities

Identify and qualify new business opportunities through research, networking, and prospecting.
Responsible for selling Freight Forwarding services for Imports and Exports
Generate action plans to enhance performance.
Develop and maintain relationships with customers and clients.
Work alongside the operations team keeping informed of client plans and challenges being faced.
Organizing marketing plans.
Be ready to work and / or be deployed to work for our other business subsidiaries.
Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential clients, including other stakeholders.
Collaborate with the customer service / sales team to develop proposals and presentations that align with clients’ business needs and objectives.
Participate in industry events and conferences to promote the company and build relationships with potential clients.
Prepare and present business development reports to senior management on a regular basis.
Collaborate with other departments, including customer service / sales, operations, finance, and new media, to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify business opportunities.
Assist in securing new business(es).

Requirements

Candidates should possess HND / B.Sc / M.Sc Degrees with 3 – 5 years relevant work experience.
Age: 25 – 35 years.

Skills Required:

Background in Freight Forwarding/Shipping and Logistics will be an added advantage.
IT literate including MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and basic digital marketing knowledge.
Exceed all standards for prospecting calls, presentation, proposal and closes.
Provide documented activity reports of your sales efforts on a weekly, and monthly basis.
Experience in Air, Ocean & Road freight sales will be an added advantage.
Strong communication skills
Ability to direct and be a mentor for the sales team.
Commercially minded.

SalaryN100,000 – N150,000 Monthly.
