The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has celebrated Victor Osimhen after the forward netted a hat-trick in Nigeria’s 6-0 rout of Sao Tome and Principe on Sunday.
Osimhen opened scoring for the Super Eagles in the encounter and netted twice in the second half.
The 24-year-old finished the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier as the leading marksman with 10 goals.
CAF lauded Osimhen in a post on their X handle.
“Spoiler: Yes he does..THREE TIMES,” CAF posted.
The African football governing body wrote on their website: “He just can’t stop scoring.
“Osimhen’s ruthlessness in front of goal proved the difference as Nigeria coasted to victory.”
